First off let me THANK YOU for all the prayers from tman. I suffered a mild stroke (If there is such a thing) around 8:30
Sunday morning. Knew something was wrong then I remembered the PSA, FAST, face arms, speech, time. I urge all to keep fast in mind. Told my wife, who is a RN I was having a stroke. She called 911 and I got to ride in an ambulance to MU Medical center in Columbia. Cat scan confirmed I had a brain bleed. Off to the ICU Many many doctors, nurses on me like flies on a picnic. Tubes and wires coming out of me everywhere. Think time. Speech improvement seemed to start immediately. Monday When they helped to the rest room my left foot drug. Tuesday when the helped me walk I could pick my left foot up. Was still having trouble with my left hand. Wednesday the first doctor in the room had some medical students with him. He took one look at me and told the students" this man does not belong here, he needs to be home. Looking at his charts and scan you would never believe it is the same person. This is a perfect example of never let scans help make a prediction of how someone is going to respond. Physical and occupational therapy where called in and we went through the paces again. They called me a show off, said I was going home today and left shaking their heads in disbelief. Would they have let me go home if I didn't have my private RN? Probably not but thats OK, I AM HOME! Start intense therapy Monday
I am overweight and had occasionally had raised blood pressure but had been told to keep an eye on it. I am now on bp medicine. You can bet I will not miss a dose and this extra weight is going bye bye.
Folks I beg you get your health act together! If not for you, then for those who love you. If I had done what I am begging you to do I might have avoided this. My 2 grown sons were crying like babies as they were taking me out the door of my home to the ambulance. That is real pain.
Thanks again for the prayers and words of encouragement . MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!
Get the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US.

I am glad you are home, have a family that loves you and wants to keep you around a little bit longer, and are doing well.
I had a recent health scare and have and have had to head toward the straight and narrow path even if I am not yet gettin down it as fast as I want to

Glad you're on the mend. I had a stroke in 2017 and know the fears and scares!!!!!
