Sure you can get a longer pole and a heavier weight. Lol

Cool photo!

What species am I looking at there?

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

Based on the time of year, time of day, water temperature, color and manner of exit my best guess is gizzard shad.

I could be wrong though. lol

Gizzard shad are plankton eaters so it wouldn't do you much good to cast out there any way

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I think you might be better off with a cast net . unfortunately we can not use them here. MN just got use of up to 7 foot cast nets , we should add it to the spring hearing questions

Yes but something BIG might have caused it to jump. Won a big fish tournament once when the same thing happened out in the middle in 90 ft of water . Just for the heck of it I fired a willow leaf spinner blade out in the direction. Caught a 6.38 largemouth. !! Partner just shook his head and declared me lucky. But he smiled when I handed him his half of the 1000 bucks it won.

They do eat plankton and alge but when they are spawning I've caught tons on a spinner bait. Don't know if they where just looking to close but all where hooked in the mouth.

sounds like new for 2019 , limited waters

I was mistaken 5 foot radius 10 foot diameter and it needs a tag

Wading, a boat, a longer pole and heavier weights will all give you more range. A drone is the best modern way to drop a hook where you want it.
