You need an ID to purchase insurance too.

Ask yourself why they want an ID for all those things and it's pretty easy to figure out why they don't want it for voting. Unless your ideology is backwards then truth seems hard to perceive.

Eighty percent of the population favors photo ID in order to vote. Only your hardcore leftists...I don't lump communists and liberals in with hardcore leftists, I wouldn't besmirch them that way...oppose voter ID.

The part that cracked me up is when those lefty wing nuts fled Texas because they said that voter ID was racist ( black black crow and all that ) they went an chartered a jet. had to show their ID to do that, then before they were let on the plane... yep had to show their ID then they had to do it again when they checked into the hotel in DC and when they went to enter the capitol. And probably to buy those cases of beer they took along on the plane as well. That must have been one heck of a racist trip. I don't know how they live with themselves now after waving their ID around for days

Of course someone should have ID to vote. I would be perfectly fine with requiring a job, land ownership and basic competency test too.

To be legal, all votes should have to have both thumbprints legibly printed on them. People missing thumbs would require an official waver. Voter fraud would mostly disappear.

I would be very in favor of having an ID for voting that we all get and maybe different then ones we have now. There are almost 30-40 million voting age people in this country that are not registered to vote. We spend billions and trillions why not get everyone eligible ID'd if that would take a house to house visit so be it. There are numerous ways to positively ID all of us we would just need to politically get it done. We now are centered around a president and 9 supreme court judges on what we do and where we go and there is not any attempt at all to select and approve judges that would not be biased one way or the other. Those 50 million who do not vote maybe the ones that get us out of situation we are in with Congress as inept as it is. However with the emphasis we put on the 10 individuals I stated at the beginning does it matter if they get anything done? Maybe just being a partisan naysayer, collecting a paycheck with really good benefits is all they are about to begin with.

You have to remember the minority rules in the country.

NC had a referendum and voters approved an amendment to require an ID. Some judge overturned it.

The dems don't want a solution to voter fraud. Thats why they are fighting tooth and nail against voter ID. They would not be able to stay in power if they could not cheat. So any solutions to make elections honest and cheat proof is a big no no for them. They will do anything to prevent that from happening as it would be the end of them .
