Just wanted to post something that would be lighthearted and fun for everyone.

So what is your favorite food(s)? Is it homemade or from a restaurant? How is it your favorite? Is there a certain way that it is cooked to make it special or is it always special?

I'll be waiting for all the delicious comments below. laugh

For me..... Its good pizza. Margherita baked super hot and fast.

For something nicer, I love a prime rib dinner.

Simple foods for me fancy does little for me adding something new to my favorite foods just ticks me off, the wife’s attempts to improve the foods I like drive me nuts.

Too many to answer. I like good food.

Top 5:

Ribeye Steak
Venison Backstrap
Fresh fish fried in a cast iron pan, preferably walleye, perch or better yet, hardwater caught brookies
Summer cookout food. Grilled hamburger, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, grilled asparagus, etc.
Good BBQ - Ribs, brisket, pork butt

If I had to pick one, it'd probably be the cookout food. Maybe it's the usual setting that factors in too. People having fun, kids running around, paper plate with a burger and sides, big bowl of cut up watermelon.. I'll trade it for a fancy overpriced overcooked overseasoned meal at a restaurant anyday.

Mine would probably be big homemade burgers with a side of curly fries.

But probably my favorite somewhat formal food would be either ham or turkey and mashed potatoes with fresh homemade bread rolls.

Favorite restaurant food may be good ole spaghetti and meatballs with a side of garlic bread, Or if we're going cheaper than it would have to be KFC's tenders meal.

moms Lasagna although my oldest daughter is getting very good at this also

a blue steak I can not over cook it myself

fish fry , beer batter or crumb

Fish boil , white fish or lake trout , just had a white fish boil Saturday at my cousins for a family reunion

pork chops , the pig in town has sales on pork chops regular this it my go to I 'm tired and they need only a few minutes on the grill and I can eat meal. my family gets a little tired of them, but if they don't figure out what's for dinner I will be cooking pork chops.

My Meat loaf , peppers , onion , pickles , and lots of catsup

tenderloin and back straps

My chicken and dumplings

Mom's stuffing it has pork and venison in it Dad helps make it and makes it at deer camp

Mashed potatoes and good home made gravy

my Drop biscuits and venison gravy using canned venison , this was my daughters favorite when she was little

Temales we make our own (not to spicy for the Scandinavian palette) made 12 dozen last winter , they are all gone

I keep finding fewer reasons to go out to eat , I do like a Mexican place in Stoughton they have a good chimichanga haven't been in a while.

my son worked at a a local supper club for a while as dish washer and as a prep cook , it is ridiculous how much even at a nicer place is basically heat and eat with no personality.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

For me, there is nothing better than a spatchcocked Mallard freshly migrated from Canada loaded with yellow fat. Spatchcock means you pluck the whole bird and then cut it with shears beside the backbone so that you can lay the bird flat on the grill.

Something about doing them this way and cooking them whole makes them so much better. There's a pile of meat on them other than just the breast and it's just as good. Only thing is it's a pain to clean a bunch this way since plucking a whole bird takes awhile.

Most of the time when I do them this way its from a solo hunt where I only kill 3 or 4. Nobody has the patience to clean or cook a 5 man limit this way!

Gotta live up to the nickname...

Fried native brookies ( little ones ) pan fried, along with fried sliced new red potatoes. If I’m ever on death row, that’s what I want for my last meal.

Favorite breakfast meal right now is smoked salmon mixed with scrambled eggs served on homemade sourdough toast. Top it off with fresh chives and grated parmesan cheese.

Most fish.
Salmon must be Alaskan-caught, not pond raised.
Perch would be second.
Brook trout.
Walleye

Elk burger in spaghetti sauce with a glass of red wine.
I have never eaten better chili than my wife makes with elk burger.

I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.
