Can someone tell me when lure sellers stopped shipping lure in wood/cardboard cylinders?

Sounds like you might have a Burbank’s lure container. Not sure of the exact time and date when then stopped shipping/ selling lure that way but it was a quality way of doing things

Wandering around the tailgaters at show and having visited Tom Parrs Museum, I would say the 20s, I do know that I received my Dailey lures in the 60s wrapped in corregated paper like cardboard. All of my Butchers lures came in newspaper. I would say the late 20s being cut off, as after the era trapper/dealers like Arnold then Dailey, Butcher, Hawbaker and Rickard consumed market share and I have never seen wooden containers for them. Collecting old lures seem to be gaining in popularity as some used ingredients that are no longer available or diluted out. Also as we do more digging we find where trappers like Phyfe made fox lures for supply houses (original wholesellers).

Those are nice graphics. The ones I see seem to have a simple paper label or just a stamp of some sort.

Another image from NATCA Museum, I also remember FC Taylor sending lure in the early 60s in cardboard.
