Barely cooked ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes
Reuben sandwich, (corned beef, saurkraut, swiss cheese grilled with rye bread)
A great BLT with lean bacon and my first tomatoes from the garden
Wild turkey sandwich the day after roasting the bird, with Dijon mustard, Havarti cheese and tomatoes on good bread.... with a Guiness.
Anything my mom cooked, except for her overcooked brussel sprouts.
Pete That sounds great to me.

Rice and gravy Rice and gravy Rice and gravy—that covers all sauce piquants, fricasse, and other fine gravies made with beef, pork, chicken, tasso, sausage, turtle, squirrel, nutria, you name it. When done right, that’s a home run.

Smothered okra with smoked tasso/sausage/shrimp over rice.
Fried frog legs and tater tots.
Taco Soup with cornbread
Any kind of bean or pea cooked down with plenty onions, peppers, and heavily smoked tasso, ribs, sausage, turkey wings. Served over rice with cornbread.
Mahi mahi with butter, red/yellow/green onions, bell peppers, and lemon juice on the grill.

Baked potatoes and corn on the cob to boot but bacon fried asparagus would of been better.
