Curious if anyone has used this? I re-dyed and waxed some traps from last year, and even though I power washed them before hand, rust is coming through the dye and wax. It says it'll take off dye, wax, dip, etc.... Thanks

I used it this year. My traps had multiple coats of spray paint, and two coats of "Bullet Proof". They are cured up and literally bullet proof! I caught multiple coyotes in them and they didn't take my treatment off.
I boiled them post-season in the "Battleborn" for 30 - 45 min and I was impressed! Didn't take every last bit off, but it did take a lot off! I will be using it again.

Lye will do the same, the stuff I use will eat metal if to much is used.
(Industrial strength). It eats paint like nothing

What are you going to treat your traps with this year?

Sounds like your wax wasn’t hot enough or the trap wasn’t left in the wax long enough to evaporate all the moisture off and out of the steel. Proper dyed and wax trap shouldn’t rust unless the wax gets worn off. Definitely shouldn’t rust enough to make one concerned about needing to strip the trap clean.

I asked Brian from southern snares if the stuff has lye in it as there's a warning about aluminum on the label. He didn't think there was lye on it but it had a high pH which would do about the same thing.

Picked up all of Brian's new trap treatment products at NTA this year and will follow up on my results after I use it on several batches of traps.
