Not quite. But i thought with all the 1000 threads id post some photos. I like looking at yunz photos so i figured i would contribute.

The blondies on the left are set up for a 60# longbow and the darker on the right are for some 53#ers i have. Whites (with polish flare) are for big game, orange for grouse/stumping. Getting excited for archery season and this is my summer ritual. Never made so many at a go, but all together not bad when the steps are the same. One more day of drying and im ready to fletch!

Always interesting thinking of which one will be THE one….

I will usually shoot about a 1000 arrows in the week prior to archery season opening. Probably won’t happen this year though.

Very nice, an archery thread. I broke out the compound and started shooting a little lately. Deer season mid sept here. Good luck hunting

You have to have a black arrow too or you wont have anything to bring down the dragon! A little lord of the rings reference.

From the pics, in my mind, each and every one of those are "the one."
I have long dreamed of killing a deer with equipment made entirely by my hand. Unfortunately I have a bum shoulder, so it shall remain but a dream.
Wait. Maybe I can make me a throwing spear.

Arrows are sitka spruce and one dozen is doug fir. It is a cool thing to craft for hunting season. Its not as primitive as possible but its closer. The bows i have made have always been decent but i dont feel like they are of the level to fling arrows at deer elk and bear. I have a cool spliced (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) feather idea for these this year and if i can force myself to go through with the dexterity monotony of splicing barbs of feathers ill post it up.

Been shooting 50ish a night. You got me beat with 1000 a week for sure! I do try to just shoot one and walk down range and grab it. With the trad bow it gives time to recover and also think about the shot and what was good and bad. Also been working on a band i made from ebay exercise banding. Just ziptied 4 different sizes in a 8-10”ish loop. I can pull to full draw and hold to help with my anchor or try to hercules it and imagine english war-bowmen pulling yew at 125!

Nice dip job on the shafts. Looks like you've got the cresting mastered too. Are you going to splice barred feathers or solid colors?
