If I remember correctly , New Jersey's bear hunting started in recent times because of human/bear conflicts.
I guess we need more people mauled to bring it back.
How truly barbaric.

Why would you patronize a state like NJ in the first place, with their attitude for hunting? Save your license fees and tourists dollars for a friendlier environment.
I wouldn't go there to hunt rats.

Jim I agree. But in the case of the OP, he lives there. Mike

Keep up the fight Guys. They cancelled the spring bear hunt here for a while but had to reverse the decision because of YUGE problems.

Can New Jersey's Governor be sued when an angry or surprised bear maims or kills someone. If the bears become emboldened by no hunting and the ensuing lack of fear/respect for humans, I would imagine that would be the basis for a lawsuit by the injured party? That approach would be the avenue I'd take. Wait for the issue and present this to whomever is hurt first, and continue to push this approach with each case. Is there any N.J. group or entity capable of this? Boco may be onto something here.

I expect the state would be immune to such a lawsuit, though the doctrine of sovereign immunity.

There are a number of lefty leaders in "blue" states that need to take long walks off of short piers for a multitude of reasons, this one included...
"And God said, Let us make man in our image and let them have dominion and all the creatures that move along the ground". Genesis 1:26
