I think the Chinese in general are fine people. Unless I am mistaken, they appear over centuries to be tolerant of the religious beliefs of others as there are a multitude of religions in China. Unlike the Muslim countries, the Chinese don't appear to have been killing each other over slight differences in religious beliefs. They are smart, have ambition, value family, and have a rich and artistic culture. Those that came to the US were instrumental in the building of the transcontinental railroad due to their desire to work for a better life. Their political leaders since the end of WW2 are another matter entirely. There is evil in every society and unfortunately for the Chinese people and the rest of the world, evil rose to prominence in Chinese politics. Once in power they rule to ensure they will stay in power. Once a totallitarian government is established it takes a bloody revolution to remove it and I don't see that happening in China in my lifetime.

There's a huge difference between a Colonel and a General, especially when the full title is Kentucky Colonel, which is just an honorary title, given by the governor of Kentucky for public service. Kentucky Colonels have nothing to do with the military at all. A friend of mines mother was a Kentucky Colonel.

So as we look at our government and politcians today, what does that say about us? America is without a doubt the greatest country in the world, but I spent a fair amount of time in China. They are actually a very polite, conservative respectful people with many of the same values we hold to here in America. It's the 1 percent of the power hungry, intolerant, money grubbing government officials that give an otherwise good people a bad name. I'm sure it's the same in many cultures.

I have a chinese friend whose parents worked in family owned chinese restaurant here.He worked there too with them.He speaks English really good as well as Chinese.His parents do not speak hardly any English.They all moved to Georgia a few years back and now he owns his own restaurant that is not chinese only.He makes and sells a variety of food.Mostly American type food.He told me that most chinese people living in china are not very smart.Most are not business smart or business minded.And they for sure do not have the opportunities over there that he has here.He told me he would never move back to stay there.He loves it here too much.He has always been a good guy as far as I know.I like him.I used to invite him and his brother over to my house and hang out some.I enjoyed making them laugh.I do like chinese food.

But from what he has told me and what I have read and just being around him I do not believe they or their country is any better than us.And even though some want to bash the USA I still believe the USA is a much better place to live.Anyone who likes China better than the USA then go ahead and move there and become a citizen if you want and if they will let you.It makes no difference to me.I just love the USA and don't believe I would ever want to leave the states.Not to even visit any other country for a week.
Out of the 50 states I have probably only visited about 10 ot 12.So there are still plenty of places for me to visit and explore here.
