I went into our local Scheels store yesterday. They have removed all limits on ammo purchases.

PSA is slowly dropping their prices now, I hope things get back to normal so I can start hoarding again for the next up coming shortage. LOL

You can bet they will milk it as long as they can to keep getting the higher pricing until the inventory gets heavy for them.

I went into our local Scheels store yesterday. They have removed all limits on ammo purchases. not sure it is over yet but getting better slowly one riot and the shelfs will clear out again it won't take much there is only about 10 minutes worth of ammo on the shelves not pallets and pallets in the back farm and fleet must be betting in some orders form last year , they had sub sonic 308 on the shelf Saturday , probably something they ordered when nothing else was available I finally got some primers last week still more empty space than full here 7/24 Scheels in Appleton WI still had limits they did have large pistol primers and some common ammo
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

When large pistol primers become available the shortage will be over. when small pistol primers get under $50 a K Scheels in Appleton had about 50K of the CCI LPP 8/24 75 or 79 a K

Rural King and Bridgeport (John Deere dealer) shelves were well stocked in calibers people actually use. Actually saw some 350 ammo that I've not seen in two years. 350 has been the only ammo on the shelves here for a year...nothing else yet Do you guys have high power rifles for deer or shotgun/pistol cartridge rifles? 350 is popular here as it's an AR caliber and we're a PCR/shotgun state for deer.

We may have to cancel our fall High School trap shooting season due to no shotgun ammo. Our supplier has none and no shipments in sight. They said start writing letters to Federal and Winchester. What a bummer, the kids look so forward to it.

What a bummer, the kids look so forward to it. i get the email for federal youth shooting sports ordering , the fall youth shooting sports order opened and closed meeting quota the same day about 9 am to noon and they had sold all that they had allocated. when you couldn't get rifle or pistol ammo people bought shot shells like mad now you can get some rifle and pistol ammo and not the shot shells you want you could get 209 primers for much of the shortage 2020 and early 2021 now you can't find 209 primers they can't keep up with all the demand and seem to get ahead in one and fall behind in the other I ordered the shot shells in spring for youth trap and did get our order so we were able to shoot , we don't have a fall season just spring the gun shortage seems to be over the ammo shortage I don't think we are out of it yet , just a little better than when it was the worst

The Federal ammo site is showing top gun shotshells are in stock, reduced or free shipping on orders over $150 the last time I bought turkey loads.

What affects ammo availability is the cyclical nature of production. They run one or two calibers at a time for all outstanding orders, then switch to different calibers. No different than powder. Guys get all excited seeing powder show up on shelves, not realizing it could be a year almost before they run that powder again. Same with ammo. Hunting seasons are getting closer and any ammo hitting shelves now will be wiped clean again. Oddball stuff is everywhere here, but you don't see any of the 30cal magnum stuff for sale anywhere
