Need to replace my brake lines got one seeping and the others are pretty well corroded up . Has anyone used any of the pre bent stainless kits if so how did you like them?. On my 98 silverodo when they rusted out I replumbed it like a old 1970's truck with a differential valve to the rear axle. Just wanted some opinions if anyone has used the kits
Thanks Justin

I used one of the kits to do my 99. I found it to be an overall bear of a job, it is not fun. I definitely recommend having the right tool for the job, and that is a set of flare wrenches. Those little fittings love to strip with normal wrenches.

The kits are super expensive, I think mine was somewhere around $400. If you are handy its a lot easier to just make your own lines. Buy a double flare tool to flare the lines and make to fit. The line bends easy. We did one of my friends trucks this way and didn't even have half of the cost of a pre bent kit in it, but there is some fab work involved.

If you go the pre bent route you will have to drop your fuel tank to get the lines into the factory position. Good luck!!

Gotta live up to the nickname...

Agree with coondagger , we've used them in our shop but only once. More of a pain than bending and flaring roll tubing.

Thanks for the replies guys I have the tools I think I;m going to do it like my silverado and replumb it old school and bypass antiskid stuff. Just need to get a proportional valve from summit racing. They have a adjustable one that you can dial in for how much braking you want.
