Mileage tax

Surprised took em this long as Europe has been doing this for years.

It would help if the feds and states stopped raiding the highway fund which it's funded mainly from gas taxes.
They should implement this for electric vehicles only. They don't pay any gas sales tax, here they don't pay emission testing and get reduced registration fees.

They might as well just simplify the whole system and tax us 85% on our income. The net result would be the same

Stupid government morons:

They probably plan on charging me about $.20 per mile, while allowing me to deduct $.55 per mile as a business expense.

I'm pretty sure we won't be able to quite agree on the exact number of miles that I actually drove.

How do you feel about property tax?

I paid taxes on the income when I made it and sales tax when I bought it but now I am forced to continue renting it from the government. Add in they raise that tax almost yearly.

I drive 10k per year. Wife about them same. Road tax is very fair, You use it, you pay it. Like alcohol and tobacco taxes, or toll bridges.

Are you going to be ok with a little black box in your car to keep track of you?

Lets tax the politicians on their air miles -- no write offs or taxpayers funded trips allowed.

I won't likely be riding public transportation (where I live/work)...does that mean I don't have to pay for that?

been seeing those charging stations popping up...I want my refund!

OK, the only fair taxes are user taxes.

So, it the government thieves want to tax me per mile, why don't they drop the gasoline tax? That is already a per mile road tax.
