my 2004 GMC 1500 has an evap system relay that doesn't read fully open or closed from time to time. I bought the truck used from my local tire shop they replaced the relay 2x even tried the new updated relay valve

I drive with the light on now it isn't hurting anything , I clear ait and check to see if any other codes from time to time

the tool is handy and worth the 20 dollars

Can u rely on a $20 dollar code scan tool to give u accurate read ? If so, I interested , the one at shop probly at least $150 or more , Bcause if ur going run with check engine lite on, it be nice check out on occasion to see if anything new happen, my tps is on in cold weather as well as air bag sensor or lite on, just hope in future the low fuel lite don't start go on all time on dic

ORielly's will put a code reader on it for you for free, they can turn off the light after reading the code as well.

ADC they will but when the nearest ORielly's is 20 miles away you can see where having your own pays for it's self

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Wouldn't it just be easier to just constantly wonder & worry about things, rather than listening to sound advice?

Yes, yes it would. I offered the advice on the chance someone has similar issues and happened to see my post. Dave almost never takes my advice. frown Perhaps a piece of black tape over the light??? smile

Go out and lift your hood. Unhook the battery for a minute and hook it back up. Alit of times that will clear codes and shut the light off. Sometimes it dont

Take off the battery terminals and hold them together for 30 seconds and it will clear the codes and take off the light.

120 volts will take care of that light.

How did you get in trouble with a funeral director?

Dave...... I build cars and work on cars for a living. I've been waiting 5 months for 1 part. I have ordered it from 3 different companies now. Still no sign of it. In case you have noticed the whole world is a mess right now....not just yours.

But like I've said before, if I was the shop owner and you talked to me the way you talk about them on here....I'd te you to take your business elsewhere

No Dave, I don't. I've given plenty of good sound advice. And like everyone else I feel it falls on deaf ears. And yes with the way things are going it could take months to get a radiator. I'm not saying that's your situation but it's possible.
