Order from Southern Snares right here in the same state first goes to Jacksonville, FL then to Macon, GA just forty miles south of me then to Montgomery, AL. I'm sure next stop will be Atlanta 40 miles north before it gets routed to my local PO.

And here's the rub, there is no direct interstate route between Macon and Montgomery so unless the truck went via US highway it had to have passed within five miles of me on the interstate and would've passed through Atlanta. There was ample time for that to have occured based on tracking history.

An order from Minnesota ordered at the same time with shipping notices arriving at the same time will get to Georgia faster than an order from Georgia.

The USPS did away with each office sorting mail before sending it on. If I mail a package to someone in the same town I live in, it goes 2 hours away to St. Louis is sorted there and sent back to my town to be delivered..

I'm kind of frustrated as I had hoped to spend tomorrow building snares rather than trying to find time during the work week.

Our Postmaster General was in the freight logistics business. He does very well.

USPS has slipped some these last few months, they did well for a while after the election but are back to performing poorly.....Believe they have lost a trapping book that is a couple weeks late, and it's not the first one they have lost or damaged.

Here is one for you. Made an order,(Ship UPS) company in California, went to Utah, then to New Mexico, to Chicago, then to Allendale, MI then to somewhere in Southern Ohio, turned over to USPS for delivery, went back to Allendale, MI then again back to Chicago, supposed to be delivered tomorrow. All though I know it will have to stop in Garylord, MI for processing before the local post office gets it. So who knows when it will be delivered. Good thing I don't need a pint of blood. LOL

I think some of you fail to understand the logistics of shipping millions of parcels per day, all over the world. Its not humanly possible to send them all on a direct one way drive to their destination.

X2, all things considered, they do a pretty good job 99% of the time for me. I'd rate them above many other businesses I've used. Probably be smart to order your stuff a little in advance, in case it takes a few extra days to get there.

You pay for 2-3 day service you should expect that it’s not rocket science now is it?

That's an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery time. wink

Oh, I understand. Jacksonville understandable, Macon it's on the right route, Montgomery is a complete detour.

Big difference between 2-3 days and 14+ days was the point!

Dang maybe it IS rocket science?

Dang that's wild.
I ordered a package 3.5 weeks ago it shipped a week later from Florida. It's been in Nashville ever since.

Save billions of what? Doesn't cost you a penny to get delivery. You get free delivery. Now if you want something shipped to you, that's different. If you don't like the USPS....don't mail anything...you'll still get free delivery if someone sends you a get well card. BTW...what would UPS charge you if they couldn't use the USPS to deliver their crap too?

Easy now I was just thinking it may be a good job for this 41 year old. Would get me home from traveling and one of the few options that still offers a pension.
