First time in 23 yrs, and from a relative. My aunt had five tree frogs get into the house in the last week. They live on a farm and no trees around real close to the house. I realize a tree frog probably doesn't need a tree anyway. No standing water. House is only 21 yrs old, so in good shape. All five were found on the first floor inside the living area, one in a bathtub.

On three occasions, while doing bat exclusions, I've found tree frogs on a house. One of which came out from under the flashing of a center chimney, right through a bat door that I had just installed. All of those houses had trees real close to the house.
Was wondering if any of you have had a call for tree frogs and what was your remedy? I'll look at the house next time I go by. I'm sure it's just an opening that a mouse would fit through.

That's a new 1. Tree frogs... Interesting. Maybe sticky traps would work, like the rat/mouse kind.

the guy who originally trained me told me that no matter how much I've seen or learned, I'm still going to get surprised on occasion. he was right.

to the best of my knowledge, we've never has a treefrog call.

This is really weird. Was talking to a friend of mine just yesterday morning and he said he just found a tree frog in the middle of his living room floor. He thought it was a rubber frog until it jumped. Neither he nor I had either heard of or experienced having a tree frog in a house and now I hear of it twice in 24 hours. Twilight Zone.

Used to have them hang around my entry doors and eat bugs that where attracted by my light. Never had them enter the house but had to check the grill before firing it up......

Eaten, I tell customers all the time, every time I think I've seen it all in 20+ years, half a dozen times a season "I've never seen that before" . This is certainly one of those times.

That's pretty wild, Jim. Makes me think it happens more often than I would have thought.

We have one every year that lives up by an old water trough area near our upper woods when we use to have ducks and geese. On a still evening I can hear it a hundred yards away. I have stalked it a few times to see if I can stalk up close to it for a night photo. It generally is up 4- 6 feet on a smaller tree branch on the few occasions that i have been successful to get close enough before it got silent on me.

Pretty little thing. Sure can make a piercing sound that resonates for its size..

All the one of kind happenings make it exciting, a fun job. Had just explained to guy mowing the grass at a clients home how many times we have all heard, "I've been here for a blank number of years and this never happened before." Within little more than seconds, as if it were scripted, an older woman came out of the house and said, "I've been here thirty five years and this is the first time I've ever had a chipmunk in my house." Got a good laugh. I usually tell them, "guess you've been lucky for a long time."

They can and will enter structures thru the floor drains. Had an AC water drain hose going to a floor drain that kept getting plugged with them. Very annoying.
