I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with these trees? I thought they looked like a decent fast growing tree that gets to a pretty good size and doesn’t have to many things that will kill them.

I planted one at my old property. It grew pretty fast on a west facing slope. A lot of gravel and cobble in the soil. The fall color was like copper

They will grow pretty much anywhere. I would rate there growth as moderate- 12--18 inches per year. After a few years there width is app 1/2 the height and limbs are persistent to the ground. I can't think of any insects or diseases that affect them to any great degree. Be advised they are deciduous

The ground they would be going on would be clay base but not over productive ground, ric I thought they were the other tree I was looking at was the Canadian hemlock so it fits in with the my plans. Did you guys have to water them a lot or are they pretty much self sufficient?
