I seen one at my local gun store a few months back and fell in love. Actually, I seen the model 19 carry comp. It is the same exact gun, except it is a six shot (not the seven, as pictured) and weighs 2.2 oz. less.
I'm thinking pretty hard about getting one and was wondering if anyone here has some feedback on them. Thanks.

your primary intended use?

Never cared for the L frame myself. The K is perfectly sized for a daily carry in the .38 calibers, yes heavy magnums will over time play havoc with the lockwork but if lot's of heavy is your game then your not talking daily carry but hunting and the N frame is the hunting gun.
Oh, and I've never warmed up to round butt anything. The last thing I want in my hand is a slippery bar of soap under any sort of recoil. Same goes for finger grooves putting torque on each finger. JMO but it's hard to beat a good set of coke bottle magnas with a Tyler T.

Price seems a.bit high compared to other choices also.

Seem awful high priced to me.

I have a Smith and Wesson 5-shot .38 that is about 40 years old. Slides right in my pocket. It has an exposed hammer, which I prefer. From 20 feet away, I can't hit a basketball with it, but it is loud.

Compared a Taurus to a S&W naaaw say it ain’t so !! lol! I agree $1,268.00 is rediculus but it’s also MSRP
And S&W is selling faster than they can make them. Taurus has to be put on sale?

S&W surpassed a billion dollars in sales last year, somebody's buying them. My guess would be the M&P stuff accounting for most of their sales. I'm getting another hankering for a Model 29. They have a manufacturing facility right here in town. Been here for around fifty years.
