GREENCOUNTYPETE trapper G Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 18,574 Green County Wisconsin	I looked at the air weight model https://www.smith-wesson.com/product/model-340pd then matched the model to the description the jframes as I understand it have a 5 and 6 shot version but a 5 shot regular to a 5 shot air weight have the same spacing on the cylinder America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

gcs trapper G Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 2,553 coastal ny	When I had to qualify in the revolver days the instructors were not keen on speed loaders, they liked the strip loaders instead, loads 2 at a time and takes about the same time instead of lining up all 6 in a speed loader, plus they're easy to carry in a pocket., YMMV

This gives enough clearance to get by the cylinder release, which the round loaders can hang up on. The speed strips are also useful. "Speed" is are pretty optimistic description when talking about loading a J frame
