I don't look for coon prices to ever recover again more than a little , same for beaver as well as mink an red fox , muskrat a little more but doubtful we'll get much more than is, likely lower coyote prices coming also but coon main thing here , but who is going trap red fox for $5 average , sound like possibility in few years of next to no coon market at all, kinda go out

Coonman, retire early, start an ADC business. You get to trap and make as much money as you want to charge, be the boss, drive a new truck if you want. hire a PR front person and an accountant ... course, it does require dealing with all types of people, but there are always pros and cons to everything in life.

Coonman, consider trapping like going to the movie and paying for a ticket, snack, and a drink. Doing that doesn't gain you anything but entertainment. If you can go the movie every night for a few weeks straight, then you can afford to do your eastern Iowa multi-specie trapping. Another option is to just your truck to set your line and then a get a little rice burner to run it most days. You'd be surprised how many critters you can stuff in the trunk of an old camry or corolla. But, remember, its all entertainment in the end at this point.
"And God said, Let us make man in our image and let them have dominion and all the creatures that move along the ground". Genesis 1:26

Won't be able afford to , unless can do all vechile maintence myself , all other pickup had were tradeoffs for years before pay off , this one pay off long ago , easy to do not say I ruin all other ones with Mile's with trapping but didn't help , sure anyone can drive lot miles trapping for few yrs an get away it , wait till lot miles an worn out , u think differently , this has nothing do it but when ur vechile is pay off , not say I do but cops like it when vechile not financed annu get trouble , those kind vechiles like confiscate over nothing an let one u owe money on go back u , sell sheriff auction , I think they be real dirty Coonman, Use your trapping vehicle to traffic coons NOT cocaine. If you decide to traffic dope, then make sure you drive the speed limit, that your tail, brake, and tag lights work, and use your turn signals.

Coonman you are the most fatalistic person I’ve ever interacted with. Hang up your traps and spend that time at a real job because coon prices aren’t coming up and you can’t afford to trap. Better yet, sell your traps and use the money to fix your vehicle and then use the vehicle to go to work, cause all you can afford to do is work and sleep. Work 16 hours, sleep 8, repeat.

Coonman did you ever look into learning a little more car maintenance? Around here some of the trade schools offer adult classes. I can't afford new vechile either but growing up on a farm started me off being a mechanic. Lots of problems you've had can be fixed in your driveway with minimal tools and a little know-how. You can also Google about anything nowadays and get step by step video instructions.

You should attend and see what he has to say. May even find some deals you can't pass up, and you can watch some demos and get a free meal.

Just saying the fur orders are starting to come in for winter,Groeny must be filling orders with tanned fur also-so he may have a crystal ball on demand/price direction.

Ya should go an join but probly won't, buy more stuff, not good idea for me You don't have to join or be a member to attend. It's all free, no entry fee, free market updates from Groenwald, free food, free demos, etc... 48 min away... This is lots closer for you than the NTA in Spencer was. You can't find a better trapping related function any where. Lots of deals on trapping equipment too! And...you can stay longer and enjoy yourself. I hope you can make Dave.
