I just blew $500 plus radiater an repair bills bfore plus always stuff need home an future keep come up buying , not look forward new lawnmower , cheap plastic junk Walmart for $350

I thought lots rain there ? We had heavy downpours in severe storms twice last week or would Bern no grass cut , unless rains , no grass cut till then , it dry up hard ground

Wonder if not use primer an pour gas down carb would get it go ok as maybe primer is flood it out an not use it , get to much gas an can smell it or not enough air but I took off airbox an did same thing , run rough

Dave, you can buy cheap, working mowers on Craigslist. There are free working mowers in the free section pretty often too. Just select the city you are closest to. The link lists a bunch of cities in Iowa.

Ames, which is the first on the list, has working push motors for as low as $40.00 to $60.00 each. Try the mower before you buy it.

Just had a co worker sell 2 working push mowers for $50 a piece. Both had honda engines too. He switched to an electric mower and he loves it. It's lighter and easier to push according to him.
I don't have Facebook but my wife does. Check out the marketplace on there if you've got it.

Clean the carb. Make sure you pull off bowl and clean out needle valve

I'd say dumping gas straight into the carb would be worse than using the primer ball. You are basically doing the same thing.

I bought a used 22 inch cut push mower for $70. Good you could fix it for $5 I have never bought a new lawn mower push or rider.
