Supergoose OP trapper S Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 535 MI	So I did not want to hijack the other canoe threads…… I just picked up a used 14’ Rouge River in pretty good shape. What is the best way to store it outside……. Right now it is in shade most of the day, but the trees will be coming down in a year…… Should I build a cover for it such as a lean-to —lumber will cost as much as the canoe or will a tarp be good enough….. It should be kept out of the sun correct. ?? A goose may honk....but he won't wave

GREENCOUNTYPETE trapper G Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 18,519 Green County Wisconsin	I store mine in the attic of the garage for the winter in my old garage I had a set of pullies and hung it from the ceiling mine looks like new at 22 years old other than some scuffs on the bottom outside , under a roof and with some cover over it to keep the sun off they will last a long time under a tarp , they actually last a decade or more just flipped over and in the sun America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

The garage walls already have enough on them and if I hang anything else from the ceiling…..the ceiling will be the floor lol A goose may honk....but he won't wave

Spike a couple crossers to keep canoes off the ground and store them upside down under it. Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
