It can be several diffent things a concretion, a Native American game ball, a stone used as a tumbler medium or a rock trapped in a depression of another rock that continuously tumbled in a strong current. It could also be a clay marble. Keith

Also found dinosaur bones, a fossilized clam, sharks tooth and crocodile tooth on my property (northeast Utah). Must have been some climate change going on before Al Gore. LOL Sneak the pan under his paw!

Seems to be a beer cap off a non so stellar beer. now the round item if you are near any geological features from 60 million years back many times those rocks were in the gizzards of the animals present. quite common in the bad lands in ND west of Dickinson Last edited by Northof50; 08/15/21 09:13 PM.

I have wondered if it could have been the crossroad of an underground rodent tunnel that got filled with sediment and then fossilized? But am open to other theories.
