Depends on the rifle. Before the tragic boating accident, I had AR's that loved the stuff and I had AR's that hated the stuff. It's cheap, it's dirty but at least it goes bang. An AR or AK without ammo is a club.

I'm thinking the way around this ban will be to have the ammo shipped from countries that are no longer "Russian" All depends on who will give Pervert Joe the best kickback I suppose.

It is more about the fact that all of them folks using it will now be using the good stuff that you and I would have liked to get at a reasonable price. This will only drive prices that much higher.
For what it is worth I had a bushmaster when fresh out of high school that had many thousands of rounds of wolf ran through it with no hiccups at all. That was some time back and I don't know how the new stuff is though.

We (my family) shoot A LOT of 9mm. I buy the cheapest ball ammo I can find in bulk for range time. The Russian stuff is cheap and dirty but it goes bang when you pull the trigger.

My good carry ammo is all American made.

we also have not been able to get Chinese ammo since 1994 , not much of the old Norinco left around any more.

the guns from Russia was a Obama Executive order in some ways it made the AK's in the US better , although more expensive Kalashnikov USA started up making US made AK,s as did several other places as well as a number of places making receivers and using parts kits to assemble American made AK's
