Looking for a very tiny bit of seal fur for a fly I tie, Thank you

What is your idea of "a tiny bit" ?

The blackish hairs from a fur seal to tie flies

lots out there for dubbing but hard press to find it on an inch pad like deer or elk.

Check fleabay for Scottish sporrans. That's the man purse worn on the front of a kilt. Many older ones were seal, most today are any number of things but the seal lookalikes are dyed cow.

Probably a long shot as a good condition older one will be pricey but you might luck into a ratty one thats not really a collectible.

Oh, and I ain't parting with my seal sporran.

I can get it here easily in many colors, pre-blended and ready to use.

In my years selling fly tying materials, I can't remember seeing real seal fur available in the US. Probably a law against it like polar bear hair.

just guessing, but likely illegal in USA

i still have some Amber seal fur i used for a March brown nymph. it was mixed with urine burned female fox fur. it had a pinkish color to it
i know the guy who taught me to tie still has a few packages.
