Just now: Fox News had a quick clip of a couple of Taliban soldiers that looked an awful lot like non-middle eastern men. Looked like white folks to me...mercenaries, maybe? One had sunglasses on and had dark beard and other had red/brown hair and black plastic bag or black silk scarf for face amd head covering...holding AK and wearing woodland camo.

Anyone else see that?

I've seen a lot of pictures of Afghanis with different colored hair and beards... They aren't strictly a Semitic (Jew/Arab) people with middle eastern features... Dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes.

Reddish hair/beards are not uncommon amongst them.

But you very well may have seen a foreigner too.
