For hunting fur bearers. Fourth bullet point under the what's new section.

And they removed specific caliber references from "reasonable equipment", guess that means we can .17s again.

Looks like some changes for the better. I've shot a few coyotes with #4 buck in 12ga., it does a fine job.

We can thank folks like Senator Rob Stafsholt for getting that fixed quickly. When the gov agency couldn't give an answer on fasted way to fix their mistake, they stepped up with a legislation fix.

That, and all of us who reached out to our representatives to get this fixed. A nice team effort.

the Legislature addressed the buck shot and all shot size

https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/2021/related/acts/16

it goes further the DNR can no longer prohibit you from carrying any shot size while hunting fur bearers during the open season.

the DNR had no choice in it

as to the 17cal my warden had been unable to issue an unreasonable equipment , for a poacher that used a .17 on a deer because it worked perfectly so he was cool with us using 17hmr on small game and 17 center-fire on coyote , it was the ladies at the service center who couldn't get past the suggestions.

now they make no suggestion what reasonable equipment is so any thing that works , is reasonable.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
