Both eyes done and It's great only need glasses for close up work. The person that gave you that shot In the eye must have been a hack. I never knew he did It.

A lot of you said you only need glasses for close up work, with the surgery did your close up eyesight improve at all?
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Absolutely! I had been wearing bifocals for years mainly due to my arms being too short. My distance vision was tweaked a little with the glasses but not a lot. Never restricted to glasses for driving. And I fully expected to still need glasses full time for close up correction but I am only using readers occasionally for fine print or low light for the most part. The following is from the thread linked in my earlier post. I could see a big difference after the 1st eye but the 2nd eye, the difference was huge. Within 48 hours after surgery, I was able to use the computer and even read the screen on my phone without glasses. The improvement was much better than I expected and I am looking forward to the one week follow up in a couple of days. I am a little over a year out now and have not used glasses other than readers occasionally since my surgeries.

Monofocal lens, both eyes for me, was the choice I made after discussing the options with my regular eye doc. Was not expecting improvement for close up/reading but I darn sure got it!
