You know what the call a Peterbilt right? A poor mans Mack.

Reality, Ford or Chevy. I’m a Kenworth guy all the way. I see plenty of Pete’s doing just as good and running just as long.

The only "real" difference is in the suspensions .

Buying new or used? I would love a quad or tri but I'll be looking for a older used truck and care more about what power Train was used rather than the manufacturer

I drive a pete every day, but like the ergonomics of the kenworth more. Honestly not too much difference, both paccar corporation. I would worry more about powertrain. I will say, my company has had 2 new pete tri axle heavy spec tractors on order for close to 8 months now and still no clue when they'll be in due to national parts shortage, assuming kenworth is the same if ordering a truck

My old international keeps on going right along those new shiny trucks with the big payments. I would rather have an old paid off truck than one with emissions crap on it. One guy I work with has a pete a couple years old and puts just as much money in his than i do for repairs. Mine is old, ugly and slow but I get paid by the hour. A little noisy too.

Yep made by the same company. Paccar. You can get a pair thats identical except for the shape of the cab and position of the gauges

Everything easy to see and reach. Never been a better design IMO

I never liked the clutch linkage on the petes. A push down instead of in. I guess i would get used to it. Never drove one too much. Worked on them alot.
