Sooo, is $21.99/box the going rate for high brass lead 2-3/4" 12 & 20 gauge shells? I went down the ammo aisle at Scheels yesterday and that is what I see. I don't think I have ever paid over $6.99....

I was paying about $17 a box for 2 3/4 inch steel BB loads last year at Fleet Farm, an off but supposedly American brand. But that was last year and it was steel, not lead. Last I knew Prez Barry had closed down the last couple of American lead smelters, don't know if any opened back up under DJT. If the lead shot as to be imported from somewhere, and given the snafu-ed aspect of global shipping right now, yeah, at Scheel's you'll probably be paying over a Jackson a box of better pheasant loads.

as of late unless you hit just the right place at just the right time 16.99 for the high brass federal #4 lead
I had gotten a few for $8.44 Aug 2020 at Walmart I write the price I paid on the box with the date in marker in 2021 16.99 is all the better I have seen
and after looking it looks like I am down to 3 boxes so I need to buy some more

How dare you shop at Walmart !! well they haven't had any in many months , and I buy for personal use and not resale , don't mention that you are the guy they hate that cleans out the ammo at wally world and resells it there is a special hatred for the guy who buys up all the ammo while they are at work that really is the place I think the hating comes from. Walmarts grocery prices are not all that good here ,but one thing they do have is peanut oil at a better price than other places.

You are hilarious. I BOUGHT ONE BOX of 22 lr !!! Could have bought 2 but didn't ! So yes I'm the guy that cleans out walmarts ammo case! Oh yes other than 1 box of 270 I bought last month that carton of 22 I bought at Walmart is the ONLY shells I bought from wally world in 5 years. They don't have any!!!! I got the 12 gauge dove loads from duhnams. So if you or any other what ever want to hate on someone for "cleaning out the ammo" from Walmart you better find another candidate !!

I know and I am not giving you a hard time ,but you mentioned selling them to a pawn shop , I know it was one box one time , but they Hate that guy(s) who clean out Walmart the moment they hit the counter the only person they might hate more is the Walmart employee who buys them before they even hit the counter.

You are correct ! No offense towards you . Happy anyone that needs a particular type/ brand of shells can find them.

8-10 years ago I passed on a very reasonably priced Ithica 37 for one and only one reason 16ga beautiful gun , great shape , very good price
at that time I was sure 16ga was a dead or dying round the local gun shop brought in one case of slugs a year for 16ga and maybe 4 cases of other ammo for 16ga all year
the last 18 months 16ga is the only thing on the shelf
