I had my left hand done about 8 years ago. Healed up pretty quick. Right hand I wear a brace to sleep so I dont bend it and that helps a bunch. Doc wanted to do both but but My right isnt that bad.

Had both mine done. Healed quick but stayed numb for a long time.

Doc did both of mine. I was anxious about this....esp both at same time. Hope and pray they heal quickly.

Past 2 or 3 years have been agrravating...waking up 3 or 4 times every night with half my hands numb. Also losing sensitivity when reaching for/picking up smaller objects.

Im sure skinning/scraping, driving stakes over the years has contrubuted to this.

Mine went away when I found treatment for Lyme disease. I wasn't able to sleep without throbbing pain prior to that.

the docs that did mine actually fixed mine. once it healed up i havent had much trouble other than arthritis. I hope you get the same results. I remember running a palm sander on sheetrock still wearing bandages on my hand. You will be healed up faster than you think i bet.

I have had it four times on each one. The last time the surgeon spun out some blood to harvest the platelets and put the growth factor in before closing up.
It worked on the right one but not the left. Insurance didn't cover the growth factor or plasma rich platelet procedure. I had to pay for it but the surgeon absorbed part of the cost which helped.

I told them no more surgery, I would just live with it somehow. I wear negative ion bracelets on both wrists and has really helped. The right wrist already had three surgical screws in it before any of the carpal tunnel procedures.

I hope you heal well and the procedure helps you.

Had to have it done on both wrists, had to wear wrist splints for a couple of weeks. Tip: If you arm starts throbbing, (while trying to sleep) roll up a towel, and put in under your arm pit, then let your arm dangle off of the edge of the bed. this procedure releases the tension on the radial nerve, throbbing goes away in just a couple of minutes.

I had both done about 4 years ago. The day after surgery I couldn't leave the house because I couldn't turn a door knob! Our backdoor now has a lever.

Be sure to do the exercises and massage the site. This helps a lot.

It took time for me to regain grip strength. Maybe a year or better. Using a shovel to dig a dirt hole was very uncomfortable. The vibrations/impact bothered me for a year or two. I bought a auger for the drill and that problem was solved.

That's great to hear.

My Mathews Triax looks lonely hanging on its hook.

Gonna be a couple more weeks though b4 I can shoot. I can barely turn a door knob or wipe my butt.

Made a dozen beaver snares this afternoon. Bored out of my mind!!!!

When I "bumped" those incision areas...I KNEW IT!

Surgeon's permanent marker scribbles still there...can't scrub 'em off just yet.

Wish my hands would have healed on their own. I gave em plenty of time...about 5 plus years. Got to where I couldn't rest at night....both hands going numb and waking me up several times during the night. I was also losing sensation in thumb, index finger, and middle finger tips...especially when attempting to pick up small items....almost looking clumsy.
