What do you find offensive about that comment? From Genesis through Revelation, God urges man to turn from sin. And man resolutely refuses. That refusal is what has allowed earth to fall into sin. It will remain that way until the return of Christ.

This is the basest of the Deceiver's lies. The travesty that happens to man is not from the Creator, but from the Destroyer. God is not the author of evil. God is good, always good, only good. Omnibenevolence. "Good" can only be defined by an understanding of the character and nature of God Himself.

If we read something in the Bible, or we experience something in life, and we think that somehow God is bad or evil, guess what? We got it wrong and we don't understand it. Read the book of Job. How does he go through what he did, and not curse God? He never ascribed anything evil to God. He knew it couldn't be.

The Deceiver's biggest lie is found in Psalm 10- basically that God will never judge evil. The premise is that either He is unable or unwilling. Man who falls into this lie has placed himself into the same condemnation awaiting the devil and his angels.

To the contrary, it is God who saves. Why did He name His Son "Salvation"? Why does He intervene in the affairs of men when wickedness abounds?

It is the Destroyer that wishes for all men to suffer and perish.

On the pediatric intensive care unit..... I am the father of a special needs child. I LIVED for months in a NICU. My wife is a medical provider who cares for severe and profound infants to 3 years old. I am an administrator for a group of therapists who care for the same population. Part of what we see, part of what we share, is that there is Light in the darkness, there is Good that comes from evil. There is hope, there is deliverance, and it only comes from a good God, Who is loving.
