Good luck. Test cutting here. Most corn is a week off. The high moisture guys have been running for a couple weeks.
Everything the left touches it destroys

How in heck are you harvesting corn in September? Most is green as a gourd yet! There is a lot more early maturing corn these days than there used to be.

All corn cutting here is going to silage now Yep same here. Except there are some fields that are drought effected from this summer lack of rain. By mid August they were already golden, ready to pick.

They have been shelling corn here for about a week. I’ve not heard any yields but was told by the guys that farm ours 17 percent.
Looks like he needs another year;-)

Still finishing silage up here. Some high moisture corn has come off, but not much. Ran a field of beans, 12% and around 60 boo or better.

September 12th and yes we are going hard and fast on silage. About 60% or more of our 75K acres of corn here go for silage. Yield will be good but not records. We have a lot of late season disease pressure causing some real fast dry down on the lower levels and leaves of our corn. The high heat and later summer heavy rains have created a good environment for disease. We have most corn with good protection for many spring and early summer issues but not so much for this late summer stuff and it seems to be very wide spread. Won't impact the number of kernels but could really impact kernel depth and fill and test weights. We will need to wait and see.
Bryce ran into big field today that had late season fungicide applied to it. Moisture jumped up to 20 but we kept shelling. Said test weight will make up the dock on the moisture. Get up and do it again tomorrow.
