Ok when I grew up our school system didn't have a football program. My son played baseball. But our youngest grand daughter is a cheer leader for her 1st grade peewee team. So we went to her game yesterday. K-1st grade. Those little dudes are hilarious. There was 4 coaches on each team on the field and I thought that's weird. Then I saw why. Yes they had to put them in the right position before each snap. Like herding cats! If one of them ran for more than 15 yards they had to wait 10 minutes to get them back over the line of scrimmage. BUT THAT'S not why so many coaches. IF they got tackled , fell , or KNOCKED OVER they just lay there. First play I though half the team was hurt . FLOP just laying there. Not moving , no arm s, no legs , nothing moving. The coaches would walk over and grab them by the pads and stand them back up. They would scamper back to the line. With the helmets and pads they couldn't move !!! Oh the running. Little fellows running flat out and not going anywhere !! 8-10 inch legs just didn't move very fast. Then you got the fat kid. One everyone wants on their team. IF the play went past 10 yards they had to call time out to get him back to the line. Best player on the field was a girl !! Long legs and run like a gazelle . If she got outside she was gone !!! Funny her running in from 50 yards for the score and 8-10 players laying motionless scattered over the field.

Later today I will be going to my granddaughter's first pee wee soccer game for this year, she is 4 years old. Last year she scored a goal and then ran to the sidelines to give her parents and me a "high five" lol, until she was done she held up the game for a minute or so.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Went to my first one yesterday also, never was sure what was going on, lol. Did they have to stand them back up like bowling pins ? LOL But what got me is they didn't move. Wave a hand raise a leg nothing. You know like "over here little help" Guess after 3-4 games they know help is coming !!

I remember by daughter's pee-wee soccer games. The coaches spent most of their time keeping the kids going in the right direction. Once the kids got to moving the ball they tended to forget, or not much care, toward which goal they were heading. I had to pick up my little sister at her pee-wee soccer game around 30 years ago. I took my two dogs. Except for the two goalies, wherever the ball was, all the little girls went. I was watching the game and the ball came rolling straight at us and out of the field. 20 loud, running little girls came along with the ball. Both of my dogs pulled out of their collars, for the first time ever and ran for the nearest tree line. My dogs were well trained and not at all shy, but a hoard of little girls coming straight at them was to much. They probably thought they were going to get eaten. Keith

It was an awesome game today, my granddaughters team won and she scored a goal. This time she stayed on the field, lol. The years go by too fast, I realized today she is 5 years old and not 4 like I stated earlier.
