Thanks Nortof50 that's so cool to know what it is Im going to find my bird book and look up horned lark. If I have a bug boo Ill also look up sulfur butterfly. I use to always look stuff up. not sure why I quite. But that is whats so great about T-man you get inspiration when you are not expecting too.

Waggler: yes nice and clean dry did not even need to lay down a tarp. The water was deep enough to load directly into the boat also.

Great way to hunt. No crippling or meat loss. Did it back in the day with the caribou. Just wait at the crossing and run the boat up behind them. One shot with .22 LR back of head between the ears. Very humane way to meat hunt. Smaller than moose so easy to pull up on shore after. Cheaper too. Center fire bullets running around $50-$60 box Can. now. Would not shoot moose with rim fire.

Great videos and congrats on the moose!

That pic of the bird going after the bug was neat to see.

Is it always windy there?

It's windy a lot of the time here. Especially closer to the coast.

Ya u could waste a lot of time waiting for a moose to cross some place. They not regular like the deer (caribou). Don't waste the chance when you have it though. Good stuff 411.

I don't think a lot of people realize how big and in segregated the north is. We have one highway several hundred miles south of where I got that moose and there are no feces or Feild to funnel animals in to a certain area.
