Savell should get in the comic strip business. I have a feeling that he could make a killing in that business.

You need to research Iowa laws on “mace”. If legal get capstun. It is the good stuff, but doesn’t work on everyone. You are better off just avoiding confrontation and going home and watching the Cubs lose to the Phillies. Situational awareness is your friend.

Please don’t carry a gun or knife unless you are properly trained and practice. Also please know the laws.

Best for you to avoid all situations, since most are in your mind and not actually life threatening.

Take care Dave

You are making that up right?

I would love to hear your definition of what “rush hr traffic” is! How long did it take you to go 19 miles through rush hour traffic?

Get a can of wasp and hornet spray. Some of the stuff can shoot a long ways. Plus its perfectly legal.

So if you carry a baseball bat in your car, be sure to have a baseball and baseball glove also. Your defense attorney will thank you.

It is Dubuque Iowa, nothing but casual driving in that town to most folks. Des Moines may have traffic problems with all the combined suburb towns. Definitely not Dubuque.

Not really understanding Coonman's gibberish. I can verify lots of lights and traffic on U.S. 20 since Dubuque is squeezed between the Mississippi and the hills. I remember more lights on Business U.S. 20 ( State Street) in Rockford where fat black girls come from. smile

Coonman tell them how traffic from 151, 11, and 20 all get squeeezed through that bottleneck bridge over the Mississippi through Dubuque.

19 Miles to work each way is NOTHING! My dad and Uncle each drove 35 Miles to work , each way ( 70 miles round trip ) 6 days, and many weeks it was 7 days a week., 37 YEARS at the same job. Lots of overtime. And it was HARD WORK !

Why do you complain so much about your job ? If it is so bad, go back to School ; and get a Bachelor's Degree or a Masters Degree in Business Administration, or Accounting,

You got 40 more years of work to do, before you can retire at age 100 ! grin

They got bypasses in Des Moines. Is there a hill there? Des Moines river. More like a creek.
