I don't think I've ever had a real job closer to me than 20 miles, lol. I say we do a poll. I am currently 11 miles from my work. My new house will be 17 miles, so pretty close to 20.

MapQuest says 25 minutes from your town to klauer. It is 19 miles. You already worked there so they probably won't hire you again so that doesn't matter. The job is advertised for 18 to 20 an hour on access Dubuque jobs. Now I saw on the map directions that you're right next to peosta. There are numerous jobs there and on that end of Dubuque. Of course they'll expect you to not whine so there's that. Probably don't want you to be racist either. From a long ago post is the afternoon job at the garbage company? You know you can ask the cleaning company you work for another assignment if this one's bothering you so much Yes u are exactly right, 25 min , at nite alot more if at 330 in rush hr, 45 min, an 19 Miles one way is plenty, u figgure out in years do it an wear an tear, most I would go, I am sure they hire me again if I wanted to but don't , I never walk out an quit, or got fired, gave advance notice an did ok work, I wouldn't try there again though , all time an tinny metal u handle, easier than what do now other place, no idea how they allow crazy radios all over turn up as loud as go, not something I into listen to first thing in morning , after that black guy months there , every day, I absolutely hate any Pandora music, bad memories , they have union is why it allow, actually I think union a lil less money an more benifits, more holidays, I rember drive clear there 1 morning in Oct an superviser rush over an say, hey , u can't be here , u got leave an call sedonna now, so went home an sedonna rep say, I forgot tell u that u work there to long as temp , union say have be full time after so many hrs, so u take day off an start tomma there new temp , should told shove it an quit in spot instead drive there on Mon morning for nothing "Commuting costs Americans over $16 billion annually in time, fuel, and maintenance. Americans spend 489 million hours driving 14.5 billion miles to and from work each year. The cost of commuting disproportionately affects low-income workers. People with lower incomes drive farther to work and spend more out of pocket."

I'm currently working 6 hours from home, that's been pretty close to the average for the last 20 years.

Will there ever come a day when our ol' friend coonman220 doesn't have some type of trauma/ drama in his life?
He's a great guy, but he sure seems to find the "bad" in everything or anyone, whether its real or imagined.
