My old computer printer decided to kick the bucket a minute ago. It's a Canon all in one printer. What's a good all in one printer these days? This one is about 8 years old. So, I got my money's worth out of it.

Be sure to check to check the inker price .You can get a good price on a printer and pay way to much for the inker that takes away the savings.

Epson ecotank. Printer costs more upfront but you save on ink on the backend compared to HP

And the tanks hold way more ink than those stupid little cartridges.

Just bought a new HP at Sams Club. $127 and does it all except fax. Two sided printing saves on paper.

Used to be you could get a new printer free or close enough when you bought a new PC. You pay for it with the ink over time. Kinda like cell phones and dealer only repairs for cars

When I need a new printer this is what I'm going to do!

My wife and daughter or teachers. They are always printing something. They have a hp, when it gets low on ink, hp sends them new ink cartridges in the mail before it runs out. No telling how much that costs!! But, I don’t ask, because I know I don’t want to know !!

I have a huge hp workhorse of a printer. HP's specs say it has a duty cycle of 144,000 pages per month. It takes toner instead of ink, I do a lot of printing for my business and I spend a hundred dollars on toner a year, instead of $50 for a tiny ink cartridge. It's a monster and will last forever considering that I print a tiny fraction of what it's designed to do.

I bought it from a school that was getting rid of a bunch of old printers for $50. It would have been $1,500 new. I can check the printer's history in it's memory and it had printed less than 3,000 pages and was only in service for 6 months - practically brand new.

You wouldn't believe what schools and universities get rid of as scrap that's almost new.

shop toner and see which you can buy refilled toner cartridges the price of the printer is not much different but toner can change your cost a bunch

as an example the #137 toner cartridge if you buy the cannon cartridge it is 70 dollars or you can get 2 refilled cartridges for 27 dollars

I am on my second cannon as well , first lasted about 9 years we got our monies worth out of it also

there was seriose sticker shock the first time we needed a toner cartriged for it as it had been on clearance when we bought it they wanted more for toner than we paid for the printer.

we decided we would try refurbed toner catreiges and the first couple blinked error but worked then they even got the error to stop

when it died it was the usb input and not the ability to make copies that failed , just could not send from pc to it

the current one is network
if you go network set it's ip and don't let it do dhcp or you have to keep finding the printer again every times it expires

I've had one for two years and use it a lot. Two weeks ago I got the first refills for it. Refills were cheaper than a full set of cartridges for my other Epson. I'm amazed at how long the ink lasts in the ecotank. It will definitely be my choice to replace my other printer when it expires.

I’ve got 2 of them now. Great printer

We also run an eco-tank. Ours is a ET-2650. Our usage is 5-7000 pages per year. Most cost effective ink jet out there. I do run the clean / align function about every 4-6 weeks as maintenance, just as a preventive measure. Only bad features are a small LCD screen and 50 sheets of paper capacity of the 2650. Neither are deal breakers The next one will have the larger sized screen. The cost savings between ink cartridges and bulk ink is remarkable .

Heads up.... If you go this route. Don't buy extra color ink unless you use color a lot, what comes with the printer will last several years. You can purchase the black separately.
