Nessmuck OP trapper N Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 23,616 New Hampshire	Are you sick of those safety latches flopping all ovah the place ? And they Nevah stay where you put them... Well your life is going to be a lot better now....Take some 16 gauge wire, and make 5 turns on the spring ...then 1 wrap around the latch...then finish on the Othah side with 5 more wraps....All done. You can now,slide it up and down the spring and it stays put ! It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.

HOYT archery trapper Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 241 SO. central Kansas	I did this upgrade on a bunch of traps. Not having floppy safety hooks makes them nicer to work with. Defiantly worth the time to probably save me from wearing a 160 or 220.
