I know some guys buy raw spring steel wire, build winding jigs, coil their own springs, then temper them. I don't think it is that difficult. Google around, Youtube, etc., I'm sure you will find something. Maybe not under the heading of trap springs though.

Here's a couple plain ol' #9 annealed wire springs on a mouse trap. Spring design ain't exactly rocket science. OK, maybe I did take a unit of it in engineering school; but, it still ain't rocket science. There are only so many different types. most likely you can find some back yard braggart showing what you need on U-tube.

Depending on what you are out to do. Might try google on hay rake springs. It looks along the lines of a coil spring trap spring. For what a person can buy replacements for I can't see it economical though.

Many books dealing with the design of springs. Mechinery's Handbook ( any revised edition ) has a full chapter just dealing with springs, spring materials, and manufacturing and processes. Excellent reference for Engineers and machinists a like. I have had copies since 1970s.

Making replacement flat/leaf springs for old jump traps would be handy.
Try that on for size Wolfdog.

I have wrapped springs with out heat. Start using heat and all kinds of problems start. I just built a jig with a mandrel to wrap around. It would be best if a small roller was incorporated into it, as you have to use oil on the little dog if you dont. Then it is just figuring out where to stop, so they come out the same. That is the same method companys use to make springs, they are cold drawn, heat takes the fizz right out of a spring! That's what I'm looking at concerning heat , problem is I'm not sure if they would work as well

Those are much like dp springs. Bends are 180* different and space between is different. Music wire. No heat just
Take a look at your dp traps. see the similarity? lots of guys make their own dps and wrap their own springs.

Spring steel formed cold, and not heat treated won't hold shape or strength for long.
