Critters. Foxes and coons mostly. Should be an easy season.

Sunday, I saw a large number of fresh dead, mostly young of the year coon during an hour and 20 minute drive. I wonder if some of them are dispersing from their mothers already? I saw normal numbers of other roadkill.

More than normal this year, earlier on (july) a few wolf pups hit on the highway, some bears, and lately mink,Saw a fisher hit,and one marten hit which is very rare(marten avoid open areas).Seeing lots of rabbits and partridge hit and seeing lots of live foxes hunting the ROW.
Smell the hit skunks every trip on the highway, lol

Deer and skunks around here. More deer than skunks.

Been seeing a lot of coons lately. It's still pretty hot, so they get nice and ripe, and blow up like a balloon. I ya squish one, the explode all over the highway and make your truck stink bad.

Either there are lots more deer or the county workers are getting lazier.

Dirty D you do know the county no longer picks them up. They will take a can of orange spray paint and mark them like that does any good. Unless it's in the travel lane they leave them lay. They can be right at the edge of the white line and they still won't move em.

About normal for skunks and coon here but have seen a large number of mink which is unusual, mostly see them in the early spring along with the rats

Have seen a lot of rats on the road this last month as well maybe due to low water here also several young coyotes

Also a road kill bear just north of Cambridge a good sized one in the 400# range, not that unusual really just that usually see smaller ones getting hit last year it was seven none much over 200 or so
