I just filled a gallon jug in 20 seconds with city water flow. It's likely you have 1/4" or 3/8" feeding your kitchen faucet. Still beats carrying it from the crick.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

your test is not good if you have a pressure tank
you would be measuring what the pressure tank can push out in 9 seconds , the pump likely hasn't even kicked in
a better test would be a short maybe 8 foot section of 3/4 inch hose with no end on the hose on that outdoor spigot , let it run in the yard for 3 minutes then timer in one hand start filling buckets till you hit one minute then see how much you filled by measuring the buckets
your still limited by the plumbing but it should get you a lot closer to actual.
to get exact you would have to disconnect the pump from the plumbing and measure right off the pump but it probably doesn't matter that much to know that.

many kitchen sinks have a limiter in the faucet end with a screen over it you can unscrew it and get more water out
also why I fil the dogs water bucket in the bath tub , it goes a lot faster than the sinks with limiter

Just measured water flow in the kitchen sink , just using cold water. 60 seconds to fill up a 1 gallon plastic milk jug, Did the same test using the outside faucet. Unscrewed the garden hose sprayer and turned on the faucet full blast.
9 Seconds to completely fill the same 1 Gallon Milk jug.
So, is my Well producing 6 Gallons a Minute, or could it be more? Pipe at the outside faucet is 1/2 " diameter Suction pipe on the Convertible Jet Well pump, is 1 1/2 inch Diameter.
Is there a way to figure out the actual flow out of the well ?? Get you an in-line water meter. Measures flow going thru a pipe. It will tell you how much you use. Some of my sewer plants had them on the discharge. Had to moniter it to file DMR reports with the EPA.

Is there a way to figure out the actual flow out of the well ?? could be more or could be less == as others have stated. There are several ways to figure it out, the easiest way that i have found to check your PUMP capacity is to is to hook up a sprinkler ( known single oriface) and a pressure gauge (at the nozzle) -- run it for an hour or two is better. the orifice size and pressure will determine the volume. this still does not tell you how much water is truly available but it will tell you how much your pump can put out. A "well log" done by the driller is of help but drillers tend to be optimistic about how much water you can expect (depends on the driller and how it was tested - air line or bailed is not an accurate test). I would be happy to help with info if i can, but i am leaving for deer hunting in the am and will be gone for about a week. I will be available by phone most of tomorrow (pst) # 503 437 4752 -- if you would like to discuss. P
