Had a great class! Didn’t have as many attend as I’d hoped. But, the ones that did attend were very engaged and learned quite a bit.

Thanks to Hobbie and SJA for their very generous donations of trapping lures for the class. All students were able to answer some tough review questions and get some lure.
A young lady gave a great response on the importance of ethics in trapping and received a 4oz bottle of Dobbins’ coon candy that SJA donated from the contest that Hobbie did. Hobbie also donated quite a few of his personal lures to go out to students also.

With their donations and some added lures and bait from myself and one of my instructors, each student now has a good start in the right direction for their future in trapping!

Great job Rob!. I'm sure those that attended appreciated your time and effort and learned good trapping skills to be applied in their future of the outdoors: -)

All in all it was a good class! Looking forward to improving on this one and maybe doing a two day class where they set some traps and we check the following day! Along with some trap adjusting added in.

Rob, two suggestions I'd like to respectfully offer for future reference are, try not to have any classes on holiday weekends or opening weekends of hunting season(s) :-)

Not an opening day/weekend day for Delaware, our deer shotgun ended last Sunday. Just opening weekend for Maryland, which I wish I was hunting frown. This is the last day of goose and duck for us also frown frown until next split.

Our trapping season opens the 1st of December and they like a class just prior, plus I’m only allowed to trap out of season for the few days prior to the season for fox, our Kent county muskrat season opens on 12/15 so I can’t trap too early. (with permission and special permit). Well not really, I have properties that are in the year round coon trapping area so would be good for just raccoon.

We traditionally do it the weekend after thanksgiving. Mostly on Sunday’s, this year it was on Saturday so the Amish could attend. They haven’t had a class in two years so wanted to give them the opportunity to come to class.

Thanks for the feedback though!
