Agreed. I'm usually the guy that gets moved in on by someone else so its good to see someone exercise ethics for a change. Where did you hunt? I had an area 13 tag and we hunted over west of Blackjack.

We were in 121.

I don't know that i consider it moving in on he had no clue the elk were even there.
We just enjoy hunting and seeing others succeed too.

Tracy, at least you only had one to pack. The morning of our second and last day, my buddy and I tagged out 30 sec apart. While setting up on some rocks to shoot my spike at 300 yards up a canyon, a cow barked at us from 150 yards across the canyon. It was my buddies first hunt every so he shot first, and my spike stood there. A thought came to my head “don’t shoot.” Well I shot and dropped him. 3 trips later (6 miles each trip), we had the meat to the truck. I’ll never kill two elk again especially in a wilderness area.
