The bourbon barrel aged maple syrup is where it's at. Usually get it from the vendors at trapper conventions, either the Berkshire Gold guy or the the guy from Ohio that the name escapes me ATM.

when I was a kid, I hated "maple syrup"...couldn't stand the stuff.

years later, my buddy moved to Vermont and we went up for the wedding. He said, make sure you take a jug back home. I politely declined (after all I hated the stuff). He insisted I try it, so I reluctantly did. HOLY COW! they shouldn't even be allowed to call that corn syrup stuff from my childhood "maple syrup".

ONLY the real stuff for me, from then on!
