All grocery shopping for me. Any where from 6 to 12 (multiple states) as needed. No small animals. Big does mostly but on occasion a nice “grandeous” buck.

Both, I have shot 6 bucks that have dressed over 200lbs , one in Northwestern Ontario that dressed 260lbs. All of them were good eating.

Bowhunting I hunt the buck I am after and will wait on it until the end of season. I can take a doe if I need it in the back yard about any day of the week.

Gun again I will wait the first few days for that buck that I am after. If it doesn't show then I will take a lone or barren doe from the farm property.

I've only eaten tag soup once in 32 years

Never once waited, or tried to focus on a big one, I always had limited time in the woods, first one that showed up gets it, same with the second and so on till tags were filled. I have taken a few "nicer" bucks, but they made the mistake of showing themselves... I have a pile of antlers outside, most get chewed up by squirrels, could care less, lol

Shoot a doe for meat sometimes, but always on the lookout for big boy, small bucks I just watch.

Meat. But I do like the look of a rack on a wood plaque. Not a fan of shoulder mounts. Even the only 140 class buck I'll probably ever shoot is on a Walmart plaque at the cabin lol. Last year and this one The Boy says he'll fill the freezer and thats fine with me.

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

Strictly a meat hunter, but I always keep the rack, have several spikes and button bucks on the cabin wall, just the skull plate, no taxidermy!

I really enjoy venison stew and venison chili and they both taste better with the meat than the horns.

I would have been hunting these if I'd been around in 1900.

Yep. Most of the time I drill a couple small holes to run tie wire through and hang them on the wall of my porch. Some go on plaques.

Both I hunt for the meat. I usually get a antler less tag to fill the freezer and keep my normal tag for a mature buck. It has been quite a few years since I have taken a buck.

I hunt mature bucks for the challenge. I keep the freezer full of beef. If I shot the first deer I saw I wouldn't get much hunting in.

Meat. I'll shoot over a pile of big bucks to hit a 1.5 year old doe.

2 bucks per season here and 3 does a day ( yes, per day..) so meat is never a problem and we eat venison year round. I’ll usually be picky during the rut and go for head gear and then fill the rest of the freezers with does.
