tried looking for this in the archives,,,,but somehow im obviously overlooking it...can someone help me find it?

I recently boght some expand a pans for my 160s ...and the pan travels , but the trap doesn't fire consistently ...I need to get them to fire crisp.

Need to raise the shoulder of the trigger. Put trigger in a vice and mash the top of it flat.

Or file the notch in the dog deeper, so the dog contacts the top of the trigger, or very near to it. Spreading the trigger a bit helps too, which is what sniperb is talking about.

My most recent purchase of 3 Bridger 330 BG traps require the compression of the trigger from top to bottom to essentially take slack out of the system, actually by using a shop hammer and vise. Any work on the notch for those would have been pointless and likely made things worse. Inspect them close for what the real problem is first.

I try that on my 110 s, some old did travel more but not all, newer 110s not lot travel but it wasn't or not worth didle with an left stock as is
