Some pics from last weekend .

Youngest son had a rifle deer tag . We only had 2 1/2 days to hunt . Wife said " he can't miss any school " . Yeah , yeah , yeah .....what ever . Anyway we passed on a few small bucks at first but really didn't see many deer so he ended taking a forked horn a couple hours before we had to head home.

We had a great time in some great country

I love that country. Some of my best memories are running around out in the desert with in an old mail van I had bought with a sack of onions and a sack of potatoes, living on jack rabbit stew and slaying coyotes.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

Yeah , most of our desert is the same as yours . This area is an exception.

I bet every inch from my front door to yours has sage brush .

Great photos.

Curious about the stone structure. It looks alot like some of the bread ovens I've seen while hunting around Denio and Winnemucca, that the Basque sheepherders built. Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Pete

It's pretty but I don't think I could handle it. Just looking at that last picture makes me nervous. I need trees all around me all the time. I could barely hack living in IL for lack of trees. I'd probably have a panic attack in an area that wide open.

Lol.....I'm just the opposite . When I lived in Kentucky , Tennessee for a short time , and visited my mom in Oklahoma I felt claustrophobic . Couldn't see out , like walls of a prison . No mountains , no landmarks , no nothing but depression ... laugh
