I agree with Nessy.

I'll watch it on YouTube tomorrow.

We watch a lot of MMA at our house but I don't do PPV.

Boxing is not what it used to be, but as for this fight, go Fury.

I would've agreed 5 years ago but I believe it had much improved. American boxing seems to be dead but the Mexicand and Brits (especially the Brits) are really keeping things going.

I watched and it was great. Both showed heart. Fury is a ridiculously big man to make a 6’7” look small. I felt Fury missed opportunities to end the fight sooner. He hurt Wilder but then would tangle up and not create distance to put him away. Wilder should have boxed more and it cost him.

I was watching ??????????????? maybe a blog (whatever that is) and there were people on it giving live updates as to how the rounds were going. All of a sudden the fight came on, on my computer screen. It wasn't continuous but I would get a minute here and there. Got to see some of the knockdowns. LOL Don't know how I was getting it but I'm not going to complain.

Boxing is my favorite spectator sport and last night I got to watch one of the best heavyweight fights ever. Both guys down multiple times, lots of heart. They both laid it all on the line and the better man pulled it off. Boxing has potential right now to be as good as it used to be. The talent is there, but the politics of matchmaking and the pay per view has ruined it. There is a lot of American talent out there too.

Wider should have known the strategy…….You box a fighter….and you fight a boxer. His machismo got the best of him.

I have watched these two guys fight 3 times now. I have yet seen anything from Wilder which resembles boxing. His posture is always looking like he is winding up his murderous overhand right. Its hard to box when you are always doing that. I haven't yet heard his excuses for the loss this time.
He doesn't need to offer up anything. He knocked the champion down twice in the 4th round. Best heavyweight fight that I have seen since Buster Douglas beat Tyson.

I love the "Sweet Science". I dropped HBO because they took boxing off of it. Showtime still has it, but Direct TV only offers it with HBO as a package. They do have some boxing on ESPN occasionally.

I went to a luncheon some years ago. The main speaker was Scott LeDoux the boxer. He said his most memorable fight was with George Foreman. He had fought quite a few heavyweights prior to Foreman and had never been dropped. He said the first couple of rounds with Foreman were rounds where they measured each other. Then in about the third round Foreman hit him in the shoulder with a left hook and his entire side went numb. He said I knew I was in trouble at that point as I had never been hit that hard before. Foreman knocked him out. He said he never fought anyone who could hit as hard as George Foreman.

Ali knocked Foreman out even though he was a big underdog at the time. He wasn't the puncher Foreman was, but he beat him with his skills, smarts, and speed.

It seemed every good fighter had his nemesis. Ali had Kenny Norton, who every other fighter handled. Tyson had Buster Douglas and later Evander Holyfield.

I always loved boxing. My dad did some boxing when he was young.
When I was about 10 years old George Chuvalo was training for his fight with Cassius Clay at Gull lake park in Gravenhurst, just north of Toronto in the Muskokas.
My Dad would take me down there(we lived close by at the time) a couple times a week to watch Chuvalo sparring. The old man would explain the moves and counters to me.

Chuvalo lost to Clay.Clay was beat up bad and could not put Chuvalo down. Many believed Chuvalo won that fight.

Chuvalo had a chin of iron. I don't think anyone ever was able to put him on the floor.
I watched him fight on tv a couple times. I don't remember if he won or lost. He got hit a lot, but kept on coming. Reminded me of Rocky Marciano who could really take a punch, but had fists of iron. Marciano was undefeated and almost all of his wins were by knockout. I think he died in a plane crash.

Clay lost several fights that he was "Awarded".Between that and Don King getting involved,,thats when I pretty much lost interest.
