Looks like some good times. Awful lot of leaves on the trees here. I understand how you could easily go 1 for 26.

Looks like a fine meal. That’s a bird on my short list. I’ve always heard they run a 6-8 year cycle as far as population goes. Are they at the top of it this year?

Are you in the UP? I have heard this year is a great year for them. 1 of of 26 is not bad. You can walk a mile with gun ready and as soon as you let your guard down one will flush.

Must a regional thing,scouting ,baiting and bear hunting,and doing a little scouting for deer,we've seen 1 partridge,and that one was sitting on the shoulder of M77 going to Grand Marais.

Some of ours are runners, Nessie, some sit tight. Too many leaves still on the trees to see what kind of population we have this year.

it's still pretty thick and hard to see in the woods , but was a great day with Kim, yes we live in central u p ,and yes i have been seeing a lot of birds this fall

lots of birds , here where I hunt last year and this year so far , so yes , birds are on the up cycle
